Clamp-Free Ballasted Solar Mounting System

A ballasted mounting system with zero module clamps. Traditional mounting fixes every module with mid clamps and end clamps — this system locks modules directly into the rail profiles. Fewer parts, fewer steps: faster installation and lower total cost. Concrete ballast blocks mean no ground penetration and no on-site concrete work.

Clamp-Free vs. Traditional Mounting

Traditional clamp mounting Apollo clamp-free system
Module fixing Mid clamps + end clamps + bolts for every module None — modules lock directly into the rail profiles
Parts per project High: clamps, bolts and nuts for each module gap Reduced: rails + ballast blocks, far fewer SKUs
Installation steps Position, clamp and torque every module Place and lock — no torquing per module
Tools on site Torque wrench, boxes of fasteners Minimal
Result Slower install, higher labor cost Faster installation, lower total cost

Key Features

✓Zero clamps, zero torquing — no mid clamps, no end clamps. Modules lock directly into the rail system; fewer SKUs to manage and nothing to torque per module.
✓Faster installation — fewer components and fewer steps per module mean small crews cover more megawatts per day.
✓Lower total cost — less hardware plus less labor time drives down balance-of-system cost.
✓No ground penetration — ballasted concrete blocks; no drilling, no rammed piles, no wet concrete on site.
✓Sealed-surface ready — ideal for landfills, capped sites, rooftops and anywhere ground penetration is prohibited.
✓Engineered per project — layout, ballast calculation and structural design adapted to your module size, wind and snow loads.

Frequently Asked Questions

How are modules held in place without clamps?

The rail profiles are shaped so modules slide in and lock along the rail. The system is engineered so wind uplift and snow loads are carried by the rail–ballast structure without point clamps.

What foundations are required?

Precast concrete ballast blocks placed directly on the ground — no drilling, no piles and no concrete pouring on site. Ideal for sealed surfaces and rooftops.

Which module sizes are compatible?

Rail spacing and block layout are configured per module dimensions. Send your module datasheet and we prepare a project layout.

Is structural verification included?

Project-specific structural design and ballast calculations are provided on request, adapted to local wind and snow loads.

How much faster is installation really?

Eliminating clamps removes the most repetitive step — positioning, clamping and torquing every module. Exact time savings depend on project size; ask us for a project estimate.
